Your Mission

We are looking for a Principal Architect to serve as the most senior hands‑on technical leader on our mobile team. In this role, you’ll shape the long‑term mobile vision, drive technical excellence, and work cross‑functionally to ensure a seamless, unified experience between our mobile and web platforms.

What you’ll do

• Lead technical direction and long‑term architectural vision for our mobile applications (built primarily in React Native)

• Act as the principal hands‑on contributor, setting standards for engineering quality, performance, and scalability

• Drive alignment across mobile and web teams to ensure a consistent and unified user experience

• Collaborate with product and design leadership to shape strategy, execution plans, and sequencing for major mobile initiatives

• Establish scalable patterns, frameworks, and development standards across the mobile organization

• Partner with design and platform engineering on system‑wide initiatives such as shared components, navigation, and design systems

• Champion engineering excellence through architecture reviews, performance optimization, and technical rigor

• Identify and mitigate technical risks while fostering innovation and experimentation

• Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers, providing technical guidance and helping to grow future leaders

• Act as a mobile subject‑matter expert across the broader organization

What you’ll bring

• 8–12+ years of experience building and shipping high‑quality mobile applications at scale

• Deep expertise with React Native and experience designing large, production‑grade applications

• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance tuning, and platform best practices

• Experience with native iOS (Swift/Swift

UI) and/or Android (Kotlin/Jetpack) development is a strong plus

• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence cross‑functional teams

• Strong systems thinking and a bias toward scalable frameworks and reusable patterns

• Experience mentoring Staff and Senior Engineers and shaping technical culture

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive clarity and alignment across teams

Compensation

Base Pay Range $174,845—$242,000 USD
Equity and variable pay (OTE) will be shared as you move through the process.
