AboutThe Team
As part of our team, you will become an expert across the full breadth of services powering creator monetization – architecting, building, and operating mission‑critical systems alongside experienced engineers and tech leads. You will have the autonomy to work across the stack and collaborate closely with engineers throughout our larger Creator Growth organization, partnering with product managers, designers, and data analysts to deliver scalable monetization solutions that make a real difference to creators across the globe.
AboutThe Role
We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our Creator Monetization team – the engine that helps 7+ million creators turn their passion into sustainable careers. Our team’s mission is to empower creators to continue doing what they love by building intuitive, accessible monetization tools, programs, and resources that reward authentic community engagement. You'll work on the engineering systems that directly impact creators’ livelihoods, building and scaling the platforms that enable the Twitch Partner Program, DJ Program, Plus Program, and Extensions Monetization.
These are the large‑scale distributed systems that allow creators to monetize, calculate creator earnings, and power revenue analytics that help creators understand and grow their income on Twitch.
- Build systems that matter:
Contribute to experiences and services that power creator earnings, payouts, and monetization programs that directly impact millions of creators’ livelihoods - Deliver code with impact:
Write and maintain code in Go, Type Script, or other languages in our stack, with mentorship from senior engineers and tech leads who will help you grow - Solve problems that span multiple teams:
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across the organization to understand complex requirements and deliver elegant solutions - Shape how we build:
Improve engineering processes, participate in design discussions, and contribute to code reviews that raise the bar for the entire team
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or prior relevant engineering experiences
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, data modeling and schema design
- Strong problem‑solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies and systems
- Experience creating detailed technical documentation
- Proficient experience level in one or more of the following languages:
Go, Typescript, Ruby, Java, C++ - Familiarity with AWS ecosystems
- Previous experience in monetization or the payouts domain
- You’re a creator or Twitch Streamer, or have previous experience in the gaming industry or creator space

Job
US Pay Per Year: $99,500 – $185,000 USD
