Amazon Web Services (AWS) invites Senior Machine Learning Engineer applicants for the Generative AI Innovation Center. The team empowers customers to harness state‑of‑the‑art AI technologies and deploy customized generative AI applications collaborate with foundational model providers to optimize AI models for Amazon Silicon, enhancing performance and efficiency.
Key Job Responsibilities- Design and implement distributed training pipelines for LLMs using FSDP and Deep Speed, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Adapt LLMs for new languages, domains, and vision applications through continued pre‑training, fine‑tuning, and RLHF.
- Optimize AI models for deployment on AWS Inferentia and Trainium, leveraging the Neuron SDK and developing custom kernels for enhanced performance.
- Interact with enterprise customers and foundational model providers to understand business and technical challenges and co‑develop tailored generative AI solutions.

Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of designing or architecting systems for reliability and scalability.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Hands‑on experience with deep learning and machine learning methods (training, fine‑tuning, inference).
- Experience with design, development, and optimization of generative AI solutions, algorithms, or technologies.
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience (coding standards, reviews, source control, build, testing, operations).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 2+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications.
- Hands‑on experience with at least one ML library or framework.
