• Design, build, and scale high‑performance backend services and APIs that power complex, distributed systems in production environments.

• Own the architecture and implementation of large subsystems, driving technical direction from early design through long‑term evolution.

• Engage directly with customers and design partners to deeply understand real‑world problems and incorporate those insights into system design.

• Build and manage critical platform assets, ensuring seamless integration, reliability, and performance across environments.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with a strong emphasis on correctness and clarity.

• Lead design reviews, code reviews, and test plan reviews, holding a high engineering bar and modeling best practices for the team.

• Incorporate excellence in reliability, scalability, and performance into every layer of system design, particularly in distributed systems.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and technical excellence.

• Drive improvements in coding standards, system design patterns, and development processes as the team and product scale.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other cross‑functional partners to deliver high‑quality, customer‑impacting software.

• Contribute to planning and execution of multi‑team, high‑impact projects with multiple stakeholders.

• Help design and scale next‑generation infrastructure that supports ambitious product and reliability goals.

• 4+ years of relevant industry experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 2+ years and a master’s degree

• Strong skills in building and deploying robust backend and storage services, emphasizing scalability and high performance in high‑concurrency environments.

• Experienced with cloud platforms (especially AWS) and Kubernetes, with a strong understanding of databases and messaging systems for secure, scalable cloud‑native applications

• Strong ability and desire to lead the creation and implementation of customer‑facing features from start to finish, prioritizing users and owning customer success

• Eager to deepen expertise in AI, with a keen interest and some experience in developing applications powered by Large Language Models (LLM)
