A fast‑growing robotics company is building affordable robots designed to take on repetitive and physically demanding work. Their systems combine cutting‑edge hardware with a human‑in‑the‑loop teleoperation stack allowing real‑world deployment today while scaling autonomy for tomorrow.
The company is well‑funded, with proven customers and a clear path to scale.
You’ll be joining a team of world‑class roboticists and engineers (ex‑Boston Dynamics, Tesla, Figure) who are delivering production robots to active customer sites.
What You’ll Do- Own the core robot software stack including controls, autonomy, perception, and system monitoring.
- Develop real‑time perception pipelines to enhance operator and robot awareness.
- Build teleoperation‑aware autonomy (state handoff, recovery, and return‑to‑autonomy flows).
- Implement reliability systems such as watchdogs, health monitoring, and deterministic logging for fast debugging.
- Create high‑leverage internal tools with visualization to simplify problem‑solving and speed up iteration.
- You’ve shipped robotics or complex hardware‑software systems to real users.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ and a focus on safety, latency, and determinism
. - You prefer practical, reliable solutions over academic ones — optimizing for real‑world customer value.
- Bonus points for experience with time‑sync (PTP), CAN/Ether
CAT/SPI, sensor modeling, camera stacks, or IMU fusion.
Primarily C++, with Python for prototyping. (No ROS.)
Why You’ll Love ItYou’ll see your work in the real world robots doing useful work in active deployments, every shift.
