Overview:

Athina is building an IDE to enable the development of AI-powered products. We are on a mission to build the new stack for AI product teams. This means defining how teams will prototype, experiment, train, evaluate and monitor GenAI products.

The next decade will enable AI-powered products and features that areradicallydifferent from the software we have been building until now. This is an open-domain unsolved problem, and we’re looking for tinkerers, hackers, and creatives who want to build the toolkit for the next decade of software.

The role:

Minimum requirements:

• Min. 5+ years of experience as a SWE

• Strong frontend + backend skills (if you're more frontend or backend-leaning, that's fine!)

• Experience creating complex software systems from the ground up

• A strong IC who is a self-starter and can work independently

Ideal requirements:

• You are excited about GenAI and are tinkering and hacking

• You are excited about the challenge of figuring out unsolved problems

• Based in SF, or willing to relocate (on-site but flexible working)

• Start-up or founding engineer experience is ideal

• Experience with AI is a plus but not a hard requirement

We're a small team, so we’re looking for someone who can tackle complex problems end-to-end. The job is not to write code. We are looking for someone to create a product that solves the problem and delights users!

GenAI development is an open-domain problem and requires a lot of creativity, tinkering and experimentation. We require a strong work ethic, and in return we promise you the same.
