They are a pioneering “Generative Engine Optimization” (GEO) platform that helps brands get discovered and perform well on the next generation of search: AI-powered, generative search engines (like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, plus emerging GenAI engines).

The company is based in San Francisco, was founded around 2024–2025, and has received seed funding (notably from Y Combinator as part of its Winter 2025 batch).

Our Client is looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to design and build the core platform capabilities that power leading companies like Greptile, Julius, Render, SoFi, and others. This person will play a critical role in translating complex business problems into elegant technical solutions—while driving measurable improvements across performance, automation, and user experience.

• Build foundational backend and platform features that support enterprise-scale customers
• Translate business needs into robust, scalable, and maintainable backend systems
• Identify opportunities for intelligent automation and workflow optimization
• Deliver backend architecture that anticipates user goals and enables new product capabilities

• Improve system latency through architectural enhancements and performance tuning
• Reduce user workload per week through automation, workflow efficiencies, and backend-driven intelligence
• Consistently ship features that users didn’t know they needed—by deeply understanding their goals and uncovering more efficient paths to them
