Member of Technical Staff​/Founding Engineer

I’m working with a rapidly growing, well‑funded AI startup building voice AI infrastructure used by thousands of businesses. The company has scaled quickly and is backed by leading investors.

They’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build the core infrastructure powering millions of AI‑driven conversations. This is a high‑ownership role working closely with the founding team on challenging problems across distributed systems, real‑time audio, telephony, infrastructure, and developer tooling
.

• Build core platform architecture, testing, observability, and integrations.
• Design highly scalable and reliable backend systems.
• Work on concurrency, distributed systems, data, storage, and infrastructure.
• Own projects from architecture through production.
• Build APIs and tooling that enable rapid customer onboarding.
• Troubleshoot production issues and turn customer feedback into improvements.

• 2+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals and experience building scalable systems.
• Experience with distributed systems, infrastructure, databases, or high‑performance backend services.
• Strong ownership and ability to operate in a fast‑moving startup environment.
• Startup experience is a plus.
