Our client is a well-funded Physical AI company in the Bay Area. They are moving from working demos to robots running in the real world.
The team is led by engineers who have shipped hardware and software at scale, and they are growing quickly after a recent funding round. They are hiring a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to make their robots run reliably outside the lab.
What you'd be doing- Building the software that makes robots run reliably outside the lab
- Working across controls, systems integration, motion planning, or fleet and deployment software
- Debugging on real hardware and fixing what breaks in the field
- Helping set engineering standards as the team grows
- 5+ years writing software for robots or autonomous machines
- Strong C++ and Python, with ROS or ROS 2 experience
- Experience taking a robot from prototype to deployment
- Comfortable working close to hardware
- Well funded, with a long runway and real customers
- A small senior team, so you'll own a big piece of the work
- Your work goes onto real hardware, not just into papers
