Design scrappy AI-driven workflows using automation tools to optimize team efficiency.

The Role

Most startups slow down because someone has to do the same manual work every day. At Aristotle, AI operations is how we keep the team focused on students instead of spreadsheets. Over twelve weeks in San Francisco, you will design and ship the internal workflows that route data, surface alerts, and remove bottlenecks. You will work directly with product, support, and go-to-market teams to map real processes, then connect tools and APIs to make them reliable.

The goal is simple: build systems that keep running without constant babysitting, so we can teach more students with fewer clicks.

What you'll do

• Analyze how the team actually works: interview operators, map dependencies, and find the steps that eat the most time.
• Build automations that pull from Typeform, Notion, Slack, and our own APIs to keep information in sync.
• Add logging, alerts, and plain-language documentation so anyone on the team can debug or extend a workflow.
• Measure how much manual time you save each week and present the numbers to the team.

What we're looking for

You should have shipped something before: a Notion database with automations, a Python script that talks to an API, a Zapier or Make workflow, or any project where you made a system behave better. We care more about how you think through reliability, error handling, and clear documentation than about a polished resume. You should be comfortable asking basic questions, writing down what you learned, and iterating once the real edge cases show up.

Above all, you should want to build tools that other people rely on.

Why this matters

AI tutors only work if the organization behind them runs smoothly. When operations are clean, our engineers and educators spend their time on the product, not on tracking down missing data. Your work will touch how we onboard students, route support, and report on outcomes. Done well, it frees the whole team to move faster. That is the point of the internship: make the company better at helping students learn.
