Firecrawl ships fast, and our website is starting to show it. Every launch adds pages, and the pages are drifting apart. We're looking for a design engineer who owns the design of firecrawl.dev end to end and keeps the whole site consistent and beautiful as we ship more of it.
You'll work with agents to ship design at scale: a new landing page for a big launch one week, a cleanup pass across the rest of the site the next, and every page still unique and eye-catching. You'll work directly with Eric, our co-founder and CGO, and Rhys, our Creative Lead, and pitch in on Alloy, the AI workspace where our brand and creative tools live.
The main job is moving fast and making great design calls. You don't spend a week on one small detail, unless that detail applies across the whole site.
Salary Range: $190,000 - $220,000 USD/year
Equity Range: Competitive equity. Details shared during the process.
Location: San Francisco, CA (SF HQ). Hybrid, onsite 3+ days a week.
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience: 4+ years designing and shipping production websites
Education: No degree required. We care about what you've shipped, not where you went to school.
Work Authorization: Open to candidates already authorized to work in the US. We also support H-1B transfers, F-1 OPT and STEM OPT, TN (Canada and Mexico), and E-3 (Australia). We're not able to sponsor new H-1B visas for candidates outside the US.
ABOUT FIRECRAWLFirecrawl is the easiest way to turn the web into data AI agents can use. One API call converts any URL into clean, LLM-ready markdown or structured data. It's the boring-hard problem everyone building with LLMs eventually hits, solved.
In September 2026, we raised a $75M Series B led by Smash Capital, and we're spending it building the largest repository of knowledge in the world. We hit 8 figures in ARR in year one and more than doubled it in year two. We have 192k+ Git Hub stars, putting us in the top 40 repositories of all time, and developers, agents, and category-defining AI companies build on us every day.
Growth like this is rare, and we're just getting started.
We're a small team punching far above our weight. Everyone here owns a real piece of the product and company, end to end, and runs it themselves. No hiding behind process or headcount.
This is a place for people who want to work at the frontier: an AI company building the infrastructure other AI companies run on, not one bolting AI onto an existing product. We move fast, go deep, and are building the tools superintelligence will rely on to gather data from the web. That library is called Alexandria, and it starts now.
WHATYOU'LL DO
Own the design of firecrawl.dev. Every page should look like it came from one team with one point of view.
Pull the site back together. Find where pages have drifted in type, spacing, color, components and motion, and fix it at the system level so the fix lands everywhere at once.
Ship launch pages fast. When a big launch is coming, you take the landing page from first concept to live, and it's the page people screenshot.
Ship at scale with agents. Use coding agents to build, refactor and roll out design changes across dozens of pages, instead of hand-pushing pixels on each one.
Keep it unique. Consistent doesn't mean templated. Every launch page should still feel like its own thing.
Make the call and move. Spend your time on details that apply across the whole site. Ship everything else.
Pitch in on Alloy. Help shape the components and rules in Alloy so the site and the rest of our brand work stay in sync.
Taste you can see on a live site. You've designed and shipped websites or landing pages we'd love, and you can show us exactly what you owned.
A designer who ships code. You take your own designs to production. Design is the job; code is how you ship it.
A systems thinker. You've kept a site or design system consistent as it grew. You know when to fix one page and when to fix the component.
AI-native. Coding agents are part of how you work every day, and you've used them to ship design changes at a scale you couldn't by hand.
Fast, with judgment. You don't need a long brief or a long timeline. You know which details matter and which don't.
You make the call. There's no committee or approval chain. You'll work directly with Eric and Rhys, and you're expected to push back and own the outcome.
A background that maps. A design engineer who owns the marketing site at an AI or devtools startup. A designer who built and shipped…
