Senior AI Engineer with 6+ years of experience

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer / AI Developer with strong hands-on experience in Python and Azure AI Services to build and enhance an AI-driven compliance platform supporting investment and tax-related workflows. The role focuses on designing and developing AI-powered solutions that ingest, classify, extract, standardize, and process client data through orchestrated workflows. This is an individual contributor role requiring strong coding, problem-solving, and solution delivery skills within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

• Design, develop, and implement AI-powered compliance solutions using Python and Azure services.
• Build data ingestion and transformation pipelines to process client information.
• Develop workflows to classify, extract, standardize, and enrich data using Azure AI services.
• Implement and maintain Azure Functions for event-driven and serverless processing.
• Integrate AI services and business workflows with downstream compliance systems.
• Map client data to standardized internal schemas and data models.
• Develop REST APIs, microservices, and workflow orchestrations to support end-to-end processing.
• Ensure high-quality code through testing, debugging, optimization, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, AI engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Support integration of processed information into tax data warehouses and compliance platforms.

• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong experience building scalable backend applications, APIs, and services using Python.
• Experience with:
  • Azure OpenAI
  • Azure AI Foundry
  • Azure AI Services / Cognitive Services
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions.
• Experience designing and implementing AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions.
• Understanding of data processing, transformation, and integration patterns.
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs and cloud services.
• Ability to independently design, develop, test, and deliver production-ready solutions.

• Experience with AI/LLM-based application development and orchestration.
• Experience in document processing, information extraction, and classification solutions.
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration frameworks and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and structured data models.
• Experience working on compliance, regulatory, governance, or audit-related solutions.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability practices in Azure.

• Experience in Financial Services, Tax, Compliance, or Regulatory domains.
• Knowledge of Generative AI application development and prompt engineering.
• Exposure to Responsible AI and AI Governance frameworks.
• Experience integrating multiple AI models/services within a single business workflow.
• Familiarity with investment management or tax filing workflows.
• Exposure to serverless and cloud-native architecture best practices.
