Our client is a fast-growing consumer technology company.## The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Strengthen and scale backend services and data systems for a consumer application as usage grows. Take end-to-end ownership of real-time services and data pipelines, balancing performance with sensible infrastructure spending.## What you'll do
* ** Review and harden core
** backend services and third-party integrations so they handle much greater load.
* ** Design how sensitive user
** data is organized and structured.
* ** Build data pipelines that
** deliver user context to services and new product features.
* ** Build fast**, efficient real-time systems for conversational features.
* ** Build data systems that
** support personalization and product experimentation.
* ** Own projects end to end**, from design through deployment and scaling.## What we're looking for
* ** 4 to 6 years
** of backend engineering experience.
* Background at an early-stage startup or as a founding team member.
* A track record of shipping and running backend software in production.
* Fluency in at least one mainstream server-side programming language.
* Hands-on work with SQL databases, caching layers, background job processing and data platforms.
* Comfort designing service interfaces and scalable, distributed architectures.
* Bachelor's degree.
* Ability to work on-site five days a week in San Francisco.## Bonus points
* Background working on consumer-facing applications.## Location and work model
