Key Responsibilities:
- Participation in and occasional leadership of the development and implementation of strategic and tactical approaches for the Company’s overall Labor Relations Strategic Plan, including bargaining strategies.
- Gather intelligence from the external labor relations environment in California and Washington, DC, to present and discuss opportunities and obstacles.
- Identify potential and actual problem areas in the Company’s labor relations practices.
- Recommend resolutions for various contractual issues with unions.
- Manage various projects related to labor agreements.
- Direct research on collective bargaining agreements involving other companies.
- Partner with internal organizations to develop and implement strategies and tactics to resolve issues between the Company and unions.
Education Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred.
Experience Required:
- Five to seven years of experience in labor and employee relations.
- Experience acting as chief negotiator in collective bargaining.
- Create and update employee job profiles in Success Factors.
- Develop and implement processes for automation and maintenance.
- Analyze internal and external salary and wage data.
- Perform job evaluations and market pricing of internal positions, including assessments for internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Provide innovative organizational unit (OU) solutions on various total compensation issues.
- Partner with various levels of management to assist in administering compensation programs.
- Support and participate in the creation and development of presentations for senior OU leadership teams.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for the assessment, development, and implementation of integrated compensation processes and OU-specific policies, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and guidelines.
- Analyze, develop, design, communicate, and implement compensation programs, including salary structures, annual salary and bonus review processes, pay equity, market pricing, and job evaluations.
Required Skills / Attributes:
- Experience with the Success Factors (SF) Human Capital Management suite, including annual planning using SF or a similar tool.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Seven or more years of experience in compensation administration.
Desired Skills / Attributes:
- Five or more years of experience leading projects, including identifying, maintaining, and adjusting scope and/or resources, and overseeing planning, tracking, reporting, and delivery of project results.
