Senior Accountant

Our client, a fast-growing Series C SaaS company in the cloud technology space, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its next phase of growth.

Location:

San Jose, CA. The position is hybrid, with in-office expectations three days per week.

Job Description:

This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment and contribute directly to scaling operations.

• Calculate and validate monthly variable earnings accurately and on time according to current compensation plans.
• Maintain commission tools and reference data to ensure accurate payments.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, HR, and Sales leadership to refine commission plans and provide strategic insights.
• Communicate effectively with plan participants and train them on plan structures.
• Support general ledger activities, including stock compensation and other accounting areas.

• 5-8 years of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, or Finance, including commission automation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with large data sets.
• Strong accounting knowledge; CPA preferred.
• Experience with cloud-based financial systems (e.g., Net Suite, Salesforce).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling startup environment.
