Job FunctionAccounting/Auditing and Finance (Industries: Accounting)
Responsibilities- Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission.
- Prepare financial reporting for management and board decision making, including presentations.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures, supporting client strategy and best practices.
- Handle transactional activities: accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintain work papers.
- Analyze and visualize data, develop budgets and forecasts.
- Manage grant allocations and funder reporting.
- Prepare for and manage annual audits.
- Provide client and staff training opportunities.
- Passionate about working in or supporting non‑profit organizations.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- 5‑7+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience working remotely preferred.
- Ability to manage and lead multiple clients independently and respond promptly.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with multiple GL packages, especially Quick Books, and electronic bill pay systems.
- Non‑profit accounting, public accounting, or consulting experience is a plus but not required.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Starting hourly rate is $50 to $65 per hour for this non‑exempt position. Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for various bonuses. A professional development reimbursement and technology stipend are also provided annually.

- Standard 35‑hour full‑time work week; eligibility for paid overtime for non‑exempt employees.
- For full‑time positions:
- 4 weeks paid time off (generally 100 hours paid vacation to start, with eligibility for additional vacation and a minimum 40 hours sick time).
- 9 paid holidays.
