Staff Accountant

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job cost accounting functions
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Analyze project costs, monitor budgets, and support project managers with financial reporting
• Help ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Support external audits and provide requested documentation
• Review and analyze general ledger activity to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
• Collaborate with operations and project teams to provide financial insights and reporting support

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Prior experience in construction, contractor, project-based, or related industries preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
• Experience working within a large ERP system
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to perform detailed financial and numerical analysis

• Construction accounting
• Work‑in‑progress (WIP) reporting
• Progress billing and lien release documentation
• Payroll or certified payroll exposure
• Experience with systems such as Sage, Foundation, Vista/Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar construction ERP platforms

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong customer service mindset and collaborative approach
