Early Career Talent - Demand Supply Planner - Immediate Start

Western Digital is seeking a recent or upcoming college graduate to join our HDD Supply Planning team as a Demand Supply Planner. The ideal candidate will enter the company with a solid foundation in supply chain management and data analytics, along with relevant internship or work experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Creating weekly, monthly, and quarterly demand signals for the operations team to source and build HDDs.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Business Unit, and Account Management teams to align supply with customer demand.
  • Driving strategic discussions with the BU to align on inventory staging and trade‑off opportunities.
  • Communicating critical demand changes with factory teams proactively and working to optimize capacity.
  • Co‑working with Product Managers for End‑of‑Life planning and new product transitions while minimizing inventory exposure.
  • Publishing daily demand‑supply reports for customer commits.
  • Monitoring forecasted demand versus actual consumption and providing input to prioritize factory schedules.
  • Driving continuous process improvements.
  • Supporting UAT efforts during implementation of a new advanced planning system.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related major with a graduation date between December 2024 and December 2025.
Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; other data analytics and data visualization skill sets are a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and relational skills, with the ability to establish relationships of trust with people at all levels within an organization.
  • Self‑motivated, able to multi‑task and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment.
  • Strong active listening skills, asking thoughtful and probing questions to determine client needs.
  • Ability to make clear, logical decisions based on facts, taking into consideration the big picture, short‑ and long‑term effects, and exercising sound judgment when handling confidential issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent positive results through influencing, coordinating, and managing the efforts of others.

Compensation & Benefits Details
  • The salary range is based on education, qualifications, experience, skill level, performance, geography, shift, internal and external equity, and business needs.
  • Non‑exempt positions are eligible for overtime and shift differential pay, where applicable.
  • Eligible employees may participate in Western Digital’s Short‑Term Incentive Plan (STI) or Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) and may be eligible for the Long‑Term Incentive (LTI) program, subject to role and performance. Certain roles may not qualify for LTI or equity.
