Molecular Devices seeks a Strategic Portfolio Management Analyst to support annual strategy development, portfolio prioritization, and cross-functional initiative execution. This role combines analytical work with strategic planning to translate business priorities into measurable outcomes across life sciences markets.
Responsibilities- Support annual strategy process through situational analysis, priority development, and executive-ready materials
- Partner with Finance and business leaders on market models, opportunity assessments, and financial analyses to connect strategic assumptions with business plans
- Translate strategic priorities into executable initiatives with clear owners, milestones, and performance measures
- Support portfolio management through roadmap consolidation, competitive analysis, and investment prioritization
- Maintain strategy dashboards, decision frameworks, and apply analytical tools to strengthen execution and governance
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field plus 5+ years relevant experience; or 10+ years life sciences experience
- Strong strategic and analytical problem-solving with ability to structure ambiguous questions and synthesize complex information
- Demonstrated experience in market research, competitive analysis, market sizing, and financial analysis
- Project management and cross-functional coordination capabilities in global, matrixed environments
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel with AI tool aptitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel approximately 15%, including occasional international travel
Compensation: $140,000-$180,000 base; eligible for bonus/incentive pay
