Front Counter Customer Service & Sales Associate

TADCO Supply is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individual to join our front counter team. This position is often the first point of contact for our customers, whether they walk into the store or call us by phone.

The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, is comfortable learning about products, can handle several tasks at once, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. Experience in janitorial supplies, equipment, or distribution is helpful but not required—we are happy to train the right person.

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Assist customers in finding the right products and supplies for their needs
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls or take accurate messages as needed
• Process customer purchases, payments, and front-counter transactions
• Enter and look up customer orders in the computer system
• Prepare orders for customer pickup
• Learn TADCO's products and make helpful product recommendations
• Assist customers with rental equipment, including rental paperwork, pickup, and return procedures
• Receive repair equipment from customers and accurately document the customer's information and equipment issue
• Communicate with the repair department regarding equipment status when needed
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front counter and showroom
• Stock and straighten merchandise and displays
• Communicate with warehouse, sales, repair, accounting, and other team members to resolve customer questions
• Follow up on customer requests when necessary rather than allowing issues to fall through the cracks
• Assist with other store and customer-service duties as needed

• Comfortable talking with customers in person and over the phone
• Good communication and listening skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
• Comfortable handling payments and basic math
• Organized and able to multitask in a busy environment
• Willing to learn about janitorial products, chemicals, paper products, equipment, rentals, and repairs
• Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed
• Able to follow through and take ownership of customer requests

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

This position may require standing for portions of the day and occasionally lifting or moving boxes, products, or equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made when appropriate.
