Overview

Adobe's Emerging Products Group (EPG), also known as the Nextcam team, is seeking Computer Scientists with graduate training or equivalent experience in computer vision, modern AI, or computational photography to join our team in San Jose, California. The team, led by VP and Fellow Marc Levoy, explores next‑generation product opportunities centered around a camera app empowered by AI, computer vision, and computational photography.

Work also includes developing technologies and features for Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and other imaging products, with broad impact across Adobe’s flagship portfolio. Recent highlights include an AI‑based feature for removing window reflections, an AI model that automatically adjusts tone and color, and Project Indigo, an experimental camera app for iPhone that combines computational photography and AI.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with a startup‑style team within Adobe to shape product and technology direction.
  • Research and develop new computational photography algorithms and deploy them in Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere, and other Adobe products.
  • Develop, implement, test, deploy, and support mobile photography apps on iOS and Android.
  • Work directly with experienced scientists, engineers, designers, and product managers to bring ideas to life.
What You Need to Succeed
  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with computer vision, computational photography, and/or modern AI applied to these fields.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
  • Experience with AI frameworks such as PyTorch, CoreML, Tensor Flow Lite, or ONNX.
  • + Knowledge of iOS or Android mobile development and camera APIs.
  • + Experience programming on GPUs or other hardware accelerators.
  • Passion for quality and engineering excellence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Compensation

The U.S. pay range for this position is $142,700 – $257,600 annually, varying by geographic market and experience. Base salary and incentives are determined per location and role. Additional long‑term incentives may be available.
