Substitute Teacher (Adult Education) – 2025‑2026 SCHOOL YEAR
Location:
San Jose, CA
Expected hourly rate: $26.25
About The Harker School: Harker is a co‑educational, non‑sectarian college preparatory school serving TK through grade 12, with four campuses in San Jose. For more than 100 years the school has promoted academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, personal accountability, and a passion for learning.
Responsibilities- Provide substitute teaching on a day‑by‑day basis across lower, middle, and high school divisions.
- Teach classes on‑site or via Zoom, utilizing screen casting tools as needed.
- Adapt lessons to meet students’ diverse learning needs and adhere to school instructional plans.
- Maintain a professional and supportive classroom environment.
- College degree required.
- Energetic, eager, and tech‑savvy mindset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience with Zoom and screen casting tools is a plus.
