Position: Hiring Adaptive PE Teachers! $3.1k/Week + 2k Sign

Salary: $3588 / Week

MUST HAVE PRIOR ADAPTIVE PE EXPERIENCE TO APPLY

Position Summary:

Provide instruction in the subjects required by the district and authorized by credential(s) utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Education and appropriate learning activities, guides, textbooks and other instructional materials provided by the district.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of students.

Create and maintain a learning environment that reflects diversity and encourages constructive and productive interactions among students.

Provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education.

Create and maintain a rigorous learning environment with high expectations and appropriate supports for all students.

Design and deliver instructional plans focused on student mastery of curriculum goals.

Design and deliver learning experiences that develop students’ 21st Century

Skills:

critical thinking, problem solving, creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and global citizenship.

Engage appropriate instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to support all students' learning.

Implement second language acquisition strategies to support English Learners.

Use a variety of assessment techniques to establish learning goals and to differentiate and modify instruction.

Collaborate with colleagues and the broader professional community to support student learning.

Engage in professional growth opportunities provided by the district and self-directed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise students in various school settings.

Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff, and community.

Maintain records and follow procedures.

Monitor equipment and facility use.

Select and requisition instructional materials and maintain inventory.

Assist in achieving campus, department, and district goals.

Coordinate work of instructional staff and paraprofessionals.

Perform attendance and clerical duties as required.

Attend meetings (IEP, SST, Faculty, etc.).

Fulfill contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.

Licenses and

Certifications:

Appropriate California teaching credential; valid Driver’s License.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of the Common Core State Standards, SJUSD curriculum, and policies.

Ability to organize curriculum effectively and integrate technology and 21st Century Skills.

Effective collaboration and communication skills.

Terms of Employment:

As outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
