Responsibilities- Building and automating rack‑and‑stack setups in an R&D environment.
- Investigating and developing RF test solutions, including test plans, automation, SCPI/C++ scripting.
- Setting debugging and troubleshooting.
- Setting and automating optimization, evaluating test time and cost reduction.
- Investigating new and innovative test solutions.
- Creating test procedures and documentation for internal use.
- Reading and interpreting technical documents including schematics, datasheets, test procedures.
- Interfacing with industry test solution leaders such as Keysight, NI, R&S, Maury, etc.
- BSEE with 8+ years of RF test development and automation experience; MS degree with 6+ years preferred.
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, PA fundamentals, 2G/2.5G/3G/4G system, industry standard test methods, test equipment operation, capabilities, limitations, and automation.
- Strong expertise in using RF instruments including signal generators, PSA, VNA, oscilloscope, power meters, and load pull tuners.
- Experience in test routine software development using C++/C, LabVIEW, or similar scripting language.
- Strong attention to detail, meticulous documentation standards, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work within a diverse team‑structured environment.
- Familiarity with GSM/EDGE/WCDMA/TD‑SCDMA/TD‑LTE/FDD‑LTE measurements: ACLR, EVM, SEM mask, PAE, IMD, S‑parameters, load‑pull, PVT, Ruggedness, Stability, Noise, SSG, sensitivity, ESD.
- C++/C#/SCPI scripting or equivalent tools.
- Proficient in lab equipment:
Spectrum analyzers, VNA, signal generators, power supplies and battery emulators, pulse generators, oscilloscope, couplers, isolators, filters, duplexers. - Proficient in MS‑Office.
- Familiarity with data communication protocols: GPIB, USB, PCI, TCP‑IP, RS232.
- Strong problem‑solving ability.
- Experience with cellular power amplifiers is highly desired.
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $114,400 - $220,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
