Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our team in San Jose, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science and engineering, with a focus on developing new and improved products for the construction industry.

• Conduct research and development activities to improve existing products and develop new products for the construction industry
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify market needs and develop innovative solutions
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate material properties and performance
• Analyze and interpret data to draw conclusions and make recommendations for product development
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in materials science and engineering
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes for new products
• Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
• Mentor and train junior research staff

• PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a research and development role, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of materials science and engineering principles
• Experience with materials characterization techniques, such as SEM, TEM, XRD, and DSC
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills
