We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Co-Op Student to join our Quality Engineering team in San Jose, CA. You will be an integral part of the team to contribute to continuous improvement efforts to boost the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.
- Assist the Quality team to effectively support our customers needs and issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.
- Conduct data analysis and develop recommendations for process improvement.
- Assist in the creation of trending reports.
- Assist the Quality Engineers in the day-to-day activities to support our customers.
- Support the NCMR process for the disposition of NC parts etc.
- Work closely with other departments for analysis and improvements initiatives.
- Assist in the creation and presentation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal and external parties.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
- Currently in year 3 or 4, of a 4-year degree program in Quality Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related Engineering field.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work at least 40 hours a week continually.
- Ability to follow oral and written guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office and Google Suite.
- Strong commitment to respect, integrity, and accountability.
- Willingness to learn takes initiative, and offers improvement ideas.
Work is performed in an office and a manufacturing environment. Required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, bend; talk and hear in person; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; repetitive motion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Occasionally may need to exert up to 30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects.
