Senior Loan Processor Location

Remote - CA (Northern)

• Process residential mortgage loan files from initial application through funding, ensuring timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated by loan officers.
• Review initial loan applications, verify information as required by loan programs, and confirm that all underwriting guidelines have been met.
• Gather loan documents from customers and third parties in support of the loan approval process, according to AUS findings, program parameters, and investor guidelines, and complete simple income calculations.
• Submit loans for initial decision and coordinate with customers and third parties to fulfill all necessary conditions for closing.
• Build rapport with borrowers and provide ongoing communication regarding loan status.
• Collaborate with Loan Officers, Underwriters, and Funders to ensure loan files are submitted to underwriting within expected timelines and that loan conditions are met throughout each stage of the process.

• 5+ years of related experience in Mortgage Processing or a similar field.
• High school diploma required.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending, including sales, operations, capital markets, and residential mortgage products and services.
• Intermediate knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Encompass.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA guidelines, proficiency with DU and LP, FHA Connection, and VA Portal; ability to calculate income from salaried and self‑employed borrowers and knowledge of TRID compliance.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
