Occupational Therapist

Public Trust Eligibility Required

Veterans Engineering is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team in delivering patient-centered therapy services. In this role, you will evaluate patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans to help them regain their independence and improve their daily living skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment capabilities and a commitment to working collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Conduct functional assessments and develop personalized therapy goals
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, and functional independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Educate patients and families on treatment plans and progress

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of practice
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with veterans or elderly populations
• Patient Evaluation & Assessment Ability to perform initial and ongoing assessments
• Identify functional deficits in mobility, ADLs, cognition, and safety
• Develop individualized plan of care ADL & Functional Training Training in grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding
• Ability to teach adaptive strategies and compensatory techniques
• Experience treating adult and geriatric populations Knowledge of Medicare guidelines (e.g., RUG/PDPM)
• Discharge planning and caregiver training Understanding of fall prevention and safety protocols

Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
