We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in AI and API Management, to help shape the future of IBM’s AI & API Management portfolio. Our flagship offering, IBM API Connect, has a large install base and 10 years of “leader” ratings from industry analysts. This role focuses on articulating our core AI & API Management strategy, refining it with stakeholders both internal and external, and driving it back into delivery and execution.

You will combine integration, AI, and software engineering subject‑matter expertise with strong product management skills to translate market needs into scalable software capabilities. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of software engineering, security, integration, the business pressures facing our customers in a variety of industries and can envision the changes in these fields being brought on by a generational shift in technology.

This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution: scanning the environment and researching market forces, crafting the vision, testing and refining the roadmap, and working with a cross‑functional team to ensure successful delivery.

• Craft the product vision and strategy for IBM’s API Management portfolio.
• Work with senior leadership to ensure alignment across business functions.
• Coordinate portfolio submissions for analyst review cycles.
• Own pricing and packaging for IBM API Management offerings.
• Own the relationships with other IBM offerings that bundle API Management.

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years of increasing responsibility in enterprise software product management and/or software engineering.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams (engineering, design, sales, support, and professional services).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Hands‑on experience with vibe coding, MCP, and/or AI Gateways.
• Demonstrated success in working with top tier IT analysts.
