Quality Assurance Engineer – Cybersecurity & AI (SF Bay Area)
We are building the next generation of AI‑powered cybersecurity analytics and are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help push the boundaries of security testing, data validation, threat detection verification, and more. You will work at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, data analytics, and quality.

Why This Role MattersAs one of our first QA Engineers you will shape how AI‑driven cybersecurity systems validate threats, analyze data, and perform r work will ensure that our threat‑detection models, security analytics, and automated defense systems operate with precision and reliability.
Responsibilities- Design & execute comprehensive testing strategies for functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing of the cybersecurity analytics platform.
- Build and maintain robust, scalable test automation frameworks for security analytics, threat detection pipelines, and AI‑powered security agents; implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate threat‑detection accuracy, false‑positive rates, and incident‑response workflows.
- Test AI/ML security models, including adversarial testing, bias detection, and output verification.
- Validate data pipelines and ETL processes for logs, alerts, and threat intelligence from multiple sources.
- Conduct performance and scalability testing under high‑volume security event scenarios.
- Perform security testing on platform components (API security, authentication, encryption, secure data handling).
- Partner with cross‑functional teams – security researchers, data engineers, ML engineers, product teams – to understand threat scenarios and integrate quality checks throughout the development cycle.
- Produce actionable quality metrics and dashboards to track defect trends and security issue patterns.
- Champion a security‑quality culture by mentoring teammates and advocating best practices.
- 5–7 years of hands‑on QA, test automation, or software testing experience, preferably in cybersecurity or security analytics.
- Experience testing security products (SIEM, XDR, TVM, threat‑intel platforms).
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar for test automation.
- Experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and methodologies such as Pytest or Selenium.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts – threat detection, vulnerability management, ATT&CK, NIST.
- Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data‑validation tools (e.g. Great Expectations).
- Familiarity with security testing tools such as Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP and secure coding practices.
