Systems DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join the cloud and data center infrastructure team with at least 5 years of systems development, deployment, and related operations experience. The candidate must have experience with distributed systems, open source development, agile development methods, CI/CD, and devops

The ideal candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Virtualization and virtualization management (Openstack, etc)
• Cloud storage systems (block and object)
• Networking and SDN
• Security and AAA in a private cloud
• Data pipelines and analytics, log collection and analysis

Must have extensive experience and excellent expertise in Linux-based high-performance, highly-available systems development.

Must have excellent written and communication skills and be capable of writing and delivering both presentations and technical papers.

Practical experience contributing to an open source project is required.

Practical design, development, and deployment experience with evolving existing designs towards large-scale deployments is needed.

Working knowledge of commonly used tools and frameworks utilized by the open source community is necessary.

B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is desired.

Practical experience with the Go programming language is desired.

Practical experience building systems on a public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCE, etc.) is desired.

Practical experience building public cloud infrastructure is highly desired.
