SK hynix is seeking a seasoned AI Data Center (DC) Operations Contractor to join our DC facilities management team for a 6-12 month engagement. This role requires extensive operational experience managing high‑performance computing environments that support AI/ML workloads and involve power, thermal, and preventive maintenance management.

• Optimize AI Infrastructure Performance:
  Enhance the performance, reliability, and efficiency of our AI computing systems, ensuring continuous availability while managing high‑density workloads.
• Monitor & Manage Critical Systems:
  Lead daily operations, monitor power consumption across GPU clusters, manage cooling systems, coordinate water resource use, and develop AI‑specific SOPs.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance:
  Maintain adherence to permits, regulations, and certifications, conduct audits, liaison with inspectors and utilities.
• Lead Technical Optimization Initiatives:
  Implement power and thermal management strategies, optimize cooling distribution, and schedule maintenance to minimize disruptions.

• Identify efficiency improvements and develop enhanced monitoring capabilities.
• Establish best practices and create comprehensive documentation for critical procedures.
• Implement automation to reduce manual intervention and improve operational consistency.

• Hands‑on experience managing AI or high‑performance computing data centers.
• Minimum 5 years of data center operations experience, at least 2 years focused on AI/ML infrastructure.
• Experience managing GPU clusters with power densities >30 kW per rack.
• Deep knowledge of cooling systems in AI/ML environments, including liquid cooling, chilled water, and advanced thermal technologies.
• Ability to maintain target temperatures and troubleshoot cooling failures under pressure.
• Comprehensive understanding of power management, UPS systems, generators, and electrical load balancing.
• Skill in reading electrical diagrams and coordinating with utilities during outages.
• Expertise in permit compliance and sustainability certifications such as ISO and Uptime Institute standards.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Operational pragmatism combined with strategic thinking.
• Experience in 24/7 operations, incident response, and uptime >99.9%.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Pay Range: $110,000 – $160,000 USD.
