Litigation Paralegal

Berliner Cohen, LLP is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Paralegal to work alongside a team of diverse professionals while assisting attorneys in handling all aspects of litigation. The qualified candidate will assist attorneys in managing personnel actions, advice and counsel, class actions, management of evidence, answering interrogatories, and preparing motions, complaints, briefs, and other legal documents; interviewing clients and witnesses for hearings, deposition, and trial;

be familiar with e‑discovery and coordinating with outside vendors and contractors to perform discovery obligations, be versed in excel and data creation and perform all types of legal support work assigned as permitted by the rules of the California State Bar.

Candidates should possess a strong academic background, a proven track record of strong performance and measurable results, and exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills. They must also be able to be creative thinkers and problem solvers, and work independently and with a team.

All candidates should have a strong background in excel.

Must possess a Paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies.

Bachelor's degree and a Paralegal Certificate from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved program.

Minimum of five years' experience working as a paralegal inhouse, working in human resources for a company, and a civil litigation law firm. Must have experience in ESI Discovery and be Proficient in Excel.

Ability to work independently, see tasks through fruition, excellent attention to detail, and familiarity with electronic discovery platforms and Excel databases.

This position is not hybrid or remote. The candidate must be willing to work out of our San Jose office.

The Litigation Paralegal's hourly pay range is expected to be between $52.00 to $60.00. The successful candidate for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range; however, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate's qualifications and experience.
