Mechanical Assembler

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub‑assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

• Apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
• Work on assignments that are semi‑routine in nature but recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practices.
• Normally follow established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
• Display the ability to read, understand and follow manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) in English.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in a high volume assembly manufacturing environment.
• Perform mechanical assembly.

• Available for OT and weekend work as required in addition to minimum 40 hr. /wk.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Ability to assemble products or sub‑assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
• Proper use of manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of basic electronics components: resistor, capacitor, transformer, inductor, component polarity.
• Handload components into PCPA (prefer IPC‑610). Has experience with quality control of SMT and PTH.
