Mechanical Assembler

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub‑assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments maintaining tolerances to blueprint specifications.

• Apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
• Works on assignments that are semi‑routine in nature but recognises the need for occasional deviation from accepted practices.
• Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
• Displays the ability to read, understand and follow manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) in English.
• Possesses a minimum of 4 years of experience in a high‑volume assembly manufacturing environment.
• Performs mechanical assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.

• Available for overtime and weekend work as required in addition to a minimum 40 hours / week.
• Able to read and understand English.
• Capable of assembling products or sub‑assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
• Proficient in the proper use of manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of basic electronic components.
• Can identify resistors, capacitors, transformers, inductors, and component polarity.
• Experienced in hand‑loading components into PCPA (IPC‑610 preferred).
• Has experience with quality control of SMT and PTH.

Salary Range (annual): $37,440 – $44,840
