The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within the warehouse and production areas. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely material flow to support manufacturing and shipping operations. The ideal candidate is forklift certified, detail-oriented, and capable of lifting or moving heavier items as part of daily operations.
Key Responsibilities- Load, unload, and move materials within or between departments using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other handling equipment.
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
- Stage materials for production work orders and maintain accurate material transactions in the ERP system.
- Pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment per customer and carrier requirements.
- Maintain organized and clean warehouse areas, including racking, staging, and shipping/receiving zones.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Follow proper lifting techniques and adhere to all safety and PPE requirements.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and production leads to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or safety hazards promptly.
- Support other warehouse and logistics activities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required).
- Minimum 1–2 years of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience.
- Valid forklift certification (stand-up and/or sit-down forklift experience preferred).
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with ERP or inventory systems (SAP, Net Suite, or equivalent).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.
- Warehouse and production floor environment with moderate noise and temperature variations.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Use of safety gear, including steel-toe shoes, gloves, and safety glasses, required.
$22‑26 hourly, based on experience
