Temp Mechanical Assembler (swing shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm)

JobPurpose
Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub‑assemblies: wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing. Determines and follows methods and sequences of operations, makes setups and adjustments, and holds tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities- Apply acquired job skills, company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
- Work on semi‑routine assignments while recognizing occasional deviation from accepted practices.
- Follow established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
- Read, understand and follow manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) in English.
- Have a minimum of 4 years experience in a high‑volume assembly manufacturing environment.
- Perform mechanical assembly work as required.
- Must be available for OT and weekend work as required in addition to minimum 40 hr./wk.
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Must assemble products or sub‑assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
- Must properly use manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of basic electronic components.
- Identify resistors, capacitors, transformers, inductors, component polarity.
- Hand‑load components into PCPA (preferably IPC 610).
- Experience with quality control of SMT and PTH.
Salary Range (annual): $38,480 - $47,840
