• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2410 – $2580 per week

• Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time postpartum nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active California Registered Nurse License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Proficient in electronic fetal monitoring and adult cardiac monitoring
• IV insertion skills and lab draw experience
• Knowledge of high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin)
• Ability to perform urine point of care testing and capillary blood glucose testing
• Experience with IStat, newborn monitors, pulse oximetry, and cardiac monitoring
• Ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborns
• Knowledge of newborn medication administration (IV and maintenance)
• Experience with Bili-blankets/lights and radiant warmers
• Support for gynecological teaching and post-operative bladder training
• Ability to provide maternal-newborn education and support
• Preferred:
  Bachelors degree in nursing or related field; 3 years of labor and delivery and/or postpartum experience; 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience; ACLS certification

• Deliver comprehensive postpartum care to mothers and newborns, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Monitor and assess maternal and newborn conditions, intervening as needed
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including high-risk medications
• Perform and interpret electronic fetal and adult cardiac monitoring
• Conduct lab draws, IV insertions, and point of care testing
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies
