The Role:

Chief of Staff to the Physician

At Life, the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner functions as a Chief of Staff to the Physician, supporting the doctor, the president of care, in delivering seamless, high-touch, and highly analytical medicine.

This is a non-traditional NP role.

You will not manage a high-volume patient panel. Instead, you will operate at a higher level, evaluating data, coordinating care, and executing clinical strategy alongside the physician.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys thinking deeply, solving complex problems, and being central to an elite care model.

What You Will Do Clinical Strategy and Critical Thinking
  • Interpret complex laboratory data and identify clinical trends
  • Support physician decision-making with thoughtful, evidence-based insights
  • Analyze blood glucose data and assist in insulin adjustments
  • Synthesize medical records into clear, actionable clinical summaries
Patient and Family Experience
  • Communicate with families in a clear, warm, and highly responsive manner
  • Translate complex endocrine concepts into understandable guidance
  • Provide ongoing education, reassurance, and support
  • Deliver a white-glove, concierge-level experience in every interaction
Care Coordination
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across all aspects of care
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, pharmacies, and ancillary providers
  • Ensure continuity, clarity, and follow-through across the patient journey
Clinical Operations
  • Order labs, imaging, and diagnostic testing
  • Support prior authorizations and medication workflows
  • Assist with internal systems, workflows, and patient experience initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality clinical documentation

Required Qualifications
  • DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF PST AND MST
  • Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP)
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Active RN and APRN licensure, multi-state preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills
  • Comfort with technology, including Apple-based systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of pediatric or pediatric endocrinology experience
  • Experience interpreting complex lab data and managing chronic conditions
  • Background in concierge, direct primary care, or high-touch care models
  • Experience in care coordination or program development

Pay: $95,520.51 – $ per year
