Registered Nurse – NICU

Contract | Onsite

• Provide individualized, age-specific, and culturally appropriate patient and family care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop and adapt comprehensive plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Identify and prioritize patient and family needs and goals, documenting assessment data and patient responses to care per department guidelines.
• Serve as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights.
• Assess and address patient and family educational needs through individualized education plans, applying adult-learning theory and revising plans as appropriate.
• Delegate and coordinate care among healthcare team members within their scope of practice to promote patient well-being and efficient workflow.

• Active California RN license required
• Current CPR certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in an RN role
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a specialty area

• Experience working in a NICU or neonatal care setting
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary care coordination and patient care conferencing
• Ability to recognize and respond to complex, high-risk clinical situations with appropriate resource utilization
