Staff Nurse II - Ophthalmology​/5's

The Staff Nurse II in Ophthalmology is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with the healthcare team. This role is ideal for a skilled RN looking to work in a dynamic outpatient surgery environment.

• Pay: $90 - $107/hour
• Location: San Jose, CA
• Facility: San Jose Hospital
• Schedule: Part-time, Day shift (20 hours/week)

• Perform assessment/data collection focusing on various patient statuses.
• Formulate goal-directed plans of care.
• Implement care consistently and skillfully.
• Establish priorities based on patient needs and available resources.
• Identify and address patient/family learning needs.
• Demonstrate awareness of patient/family rights and cultural beliefs.
• Coordinate care for patients and patient populations.
• Establish effective working relationships with healthcare team members.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by team members.
• Participate in staff development activities for unit and department personnel.

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program

Experience:

• One year recent experience in circulating and/or scrubbing surgical procedures in an outpatient surgery center and/or hospital operating room

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Registered Nurse License (California)
• Basic Life Support certification required
