Overview

Salary Range: $150-170k per year

The QA/QC Manager at Mas Tec Power Delivery is responsible for leading and overseeing the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program for power generation and commercial building construction projects. This role ensures that all construction activities comply with project specifications, applicable codes, industry standards, and Mas Tec Power Delivery quality requirements. The QA/QC Manager provides leadership, guidance, and support to project teams to ensure consistent quality execution from project start through completion.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage Mas Tec Power Delivery’s QA/QC programs, plans, and procedures for assigned projects. (based on Mas Tec’s corporate QMP, ITP, and existing forms.)
  • Lead and supervise QA/QC Inspectors and quality personnel, providing direction, training, and performance oversight.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve completed field reports.
  • Monitor field inspections for civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical work.
  • Identify quality risks, oversee non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, construction, safety, and client representatives to resolve quality issues.
  • Review subcontractor and subcontractor quality systems and documentation for compliance.
  • Oversee testing, inspections, audits, punch list activities, and final quality acceptance prior to project turnover.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and metrics in accordance with Mas Tec and client requirements.
  • Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all project teams.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10+ years of QA/QC experience
    , with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
    , within power generation and/or commercial building construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, quality management systems, and inspection processes.
  • Extensive familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, AWS, NEC, ASME, ISO).
  • Proven experience managing QA/QC programs on large, complex construction projects.
Certifications
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
  • NACE / AMPP Coating Inspector
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or QA/QC training
  • OSHA 30
