Quality Engineering, Process Engineer, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Lyten is leading an industrial revolution through Lyten 3D Graphene™, a breakthrough supermaterial unlocking a new generation of products — from lithium–sulfur batteries and energy storage systems to concrete admixtures, lightweight composites, and next‑generation sensors that are revolutionizing industries. Together, these innovations are making a massive global improvement and driving real‑world impact across energy, mobility, construction, and defense.
At Lyten, we believe the most meaningful careers begin with purpose — and with people who want to make a difference. We’re not just developing advanced supermaterials — we’re about to change the world as we know it, reshaping how energy is stored, how products are built, and how progress is made.
We’re entering an exciting growth phase, scaling production across the U.S. and Europe and expanding our team of engineers, scientists, and innovators.
Process Quality EngineerWe are seeking a proactive and innovative Process Quality Engineer to join our Operations team. This role bridges production, engineering, and quality with a focus on ownership of production lines, problem-solving, statistical analysis, and process innovation. The Quality Engineer will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure high‑quality product delivery, scalable processes, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Quality standards and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Assurance:
- Define critical‑to‑quality (CTQ) parameters and establish clear pass/fail criteria in collaboration with the R&D and process engineering teams.
- Develop, implement, and execute incoming, in‑process/final quality control plans for raw materials, chemical formulations, and finished composite assemblies.
- Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and gauge R&R studies to validate the accuracy and reliability of all testing and inspection equipment.
- Process Monitoring & Statistical Control:
- Own the Process FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), leading cross‑functional teams to identify, evaluate, and proactively mitigate manufacturing risks.
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) across pilot and commercial production lines to monitor manufacturing stability and yield.
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, process drifts, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Non‑Conformance & Root Cause Analysis:
- Lead cross‑functional investigations into non‑conformances (NCRs), out‑of‑specification (OOS) results, and customer returns.
- Drive structured problem‑solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams) to identify root causes.
- Design, execute, and verify Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
- Quality Management Systems (QMS):
- Assist in building, auditing, and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and potentially IATF 16949 standards.
