We are currently recruiting for the following position.

Multi-Purpose Clerk - Bakery - 844 Blossom Hill Rd., San Jose, CA 95123

• The Multi-Purpose Clerk may be assigned to Center Store, Produce, Meat/Seafood, Bakery/Deli, Janitorial, or Pharmacy. Responsibilities include promoting sales, answering customer questions, handling special orders, and ensuring accurate product handling.
• Practice safe food handling procedures, maintain a clean work area, and keep areas free from safety hazards.
• Receive, inspect, log, stock, rotate, and merchandise products to maintain freshness and department appeal.

• Center Store/Front End – Operate the check stand; memorize PLU codes; stock, rotate, and merchandise products; conduct POS and inventory activities.
• Produce – Inspect and log products; trim, wash, wrap produce; stock and merchandise; maintain floral area; keep department clean.
• Meat/Seafood – Inspect and log products; weigh, wrap/package, label; stock and merchandise; provide customer service at the seafood counter; take special orders; may operate equipment; keep area clean.
• Bakery/Deli – Inspect and log products; prepare, weigh, package, label; stock and merchandise baked goods and deli items; take special orders; may operate ovens, proofers, slicers, mixers; keep area clean.
• Janitorial – Maintain cleanliness and sanitation store-wide; sweep/mop; clean restrooms, break rooms, shelving, and equipment; may operate janitorial equipment.
• Pharmacy – Operate the pharmacy register; assist customers with prescription processing under supervision; maintain cleanliness and confidentiality.

• Sweep and mop floors; may operate forklift or baler if authorized and certified; perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work with urgency, self-motivation, and flexibility; proactive and enthusiastic on the job.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma (or GED) or additional job experience.
• Experience:
  
  Six months of related experience.

• Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours; must be at least 18 years of age.
• Physical:
  Standing and other physical movements required; lifting up to 40 lbs without assistance.
