Position OverviewWe’re seeking an experienced Security Service / Installation Technician to join our Bay Area team. This is a hands‑on field role supporting commercial customers with access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems.
Pay: $30–$60/hr DOE, with overtime opportunities.
Experience: 2+ years installing and servicing commercial security systems (access control, CCTV, and/or intrusion).

- Install & service commercial security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion, and alarms.
- Troubleshoot and repair field issues end‑to‑end: diagnose, implement fixes, and document results.
- Cabling & infrastructure: pull/terminate low‑voltage cable, dress racks, install conduit, and support fiber terminations as needed.
- CCTV deployments: mount cameras (indoor/outdoor), install head‑end equipment, and validate system functionality.
- Access control hardware: install strikes (electric/magnetic), door hardware, readers, panels, and configure electrified openings.
- Commissioning & verification: device setup, configuration, system testing, and customer walk‑throughs.
- Safety, tools & inventory: operate tools safely, maintain accurate truck inventory, and follow jobsite safety standards.
- Documentation: complete work logs, as‑builts, and required system documentation for compliance and customer handoff.
- Customer communication: coordinate with Project Coordinator/Branch Manager and maintain professional onsite communication with clients.
Our core platforms are Avigilon and Verkada
. We do work with a variety of other commercial systems, and experience on any major access control or video platform translates well here.
Genetec, Milestone, Lenel/OnGuard, CCURE, RS2, Brivo, Openpath, Exacq, Bosch, Honeywell, DMP, DSC—or similar commercial platforms.
Required Qualifications- 2+ years of commercial security installation/service experience (CCTV, access control, intrusion).
- Comfortable reading plans, following scope, and completing work independently.
- Strong low‑voltage cabling and termination skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Avigilon Control Center (ACC) and/or Verkada Command
. - Manufacturer certifications or platform‑specific experience.
- Solid IP/networking basics (PoE, VLANs, IP addressing, switch troubleshooting).
- Door hardware / electrified locking experience.
- Lift / scissor lift certification.
