Plumbing Service Technician

United Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumbing Service Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and alterations to commercial and industrial building plumbing/piping systems.

Location:

San Jose, CA and Alameda, CA

Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot and balance high rise building pressure issues.

* Troubleshoot and repair booster pump systems.

* Troubleshoot and repair boilers and associated components.

* Understand controls, electrical and mechanical systems.

* Install hot water and heating systems.

Use your strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose plumbing system failures (such as system leaks and stoppages) and repair various plumbing components on a variety of challenging jobs, such as:

* Water closets

* Sanitation systems

* Fire sprinkler piping systems

* Storm drainage systems

* HVAC hydronic systems

Requirements:

* Journeyman level experience with troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing plumbing systems (or ability to get Journeyman's card within 6 months).

* Applicable plumbing licenses/certifications (preferred, not required).

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Communication and customer service skills.

* Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
