Position
Field Services Technician I in San Jose, CA. Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $43.00/hr full-time entry level.
About the roleThis role will be active in the field responsible for tasks associated with hazardous waste clean‑up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

- Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
- Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly, including respirators and all required protective gear.
- Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors, all weather conditions.
- Work in environments with potential exposure to hazardous, toxic, or corrosive agents.
- Work in elevated noise levels and confined spaces.
- Work at elevations, including ladders and scaffolding.
- Assist in field sampling activities and meter calibration.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding and enter/exit trucks, tanks, and other containers.
- Work extended periods (>8 hrs).
- Attend compliance and safety updates.
- Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Safely load and unload hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
- Conduct waste‑stream sampling and profiling as needed.
- Follow local, state, and federal regulations.
- Safely operate vehicles per DOT and other applicable requirements.
- Observe corporate operating guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
- Perform site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling.
- Reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks.
- Willingness to be on call for emergency response, including weekends and holidays, with shifts up to 12–24 hrs.
- Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical assessment.
- Compliance with OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.34). Employees in respirator positions must meet facial‑hair standards.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous relevant labor experience.
