Overview
The Product Development team in San Jose operates in a rapid‑paced, innovative, and challenging environment. We focus on creating new market solutions with rapid productization. The software development team solves challenging problems and requires engineers to be engaged in all phases of development.
Responsibilities- Identify requirements; plan tasks; apply highly regarded programming practices and share insights and efforts with the team.
- Lead or participate in requirements and design phases, perform implementations, debugging and integrations.
- Provide content for Operations Manuals, Release Notes, Manufacturing and Technical Support documentation.
- Contribute to the development of test procedures and scenarios to qualify new software.
- Coordinate with operational and customer‑facing organizations for knowledge transfer and New Product Introduction activities.
- Work with vendors supplying components and supporting 3rd party applications.
- Perform duties as assigned by product and project managers.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar technical discipline and 2 years of software engineering experience, or a Master’s degree is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Strong knowledge of Object‑Oriented methodologies, C#, .NET, C++, VB, COM, MFC, MS Visual Studio, and Windows OS.
- Debugging skills in a very large code base. Proficiency with multithreaded applications.
- Knowledge and demonstration of software development and process methodology for critical applications, and complete software lifecycle.
- Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills in English.
