Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $52.00/hr

We are seeking a motivated Android Developer to support mobile engineering initiatives within our client’s Financial Services organization. This role will work closely with engineering leads to implement features, fix bugs, and contribute to the stability and quality of client Android applications. It is an entry‑level contract position ideal for developers looking to gain experience in a large‑scale, high‑impact mobile environment.

• Develop, test, and maintain Android application components under the guidance of senior engineers
• Implement UI and functional requirements using modern Android development practices
• Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to improve application performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including backend engineering, design, and QA
• Follow coding standards, security practices, and documentation guidelines
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

• Strong Kotlin experience and solid understanding of the Android SDK and Jetpack components
• Familiarity with modular architectures and patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or MVC
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks (Hilt/Dagger) and coroutines
• Skilled in performance profiling, memory optimization, and secure data handling
• Ability to build reliable, scalable, and well‑tested features
• Strong collaboration with product/design partners and comfort supporting junior engineers

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of professional experience in Android development
• Proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java for Android
• Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and common libraries (e.g., Jetpack components)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM)
• Basic knowledge of version control tools such as Git

• Experience with CI/CD tools, unit testing, or automation frameworks
• Exposure to accessibility, security best practices, or performance optimization on Android
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $50.00 - $52.00/hour
. Non‑exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience. Full‑time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
