Responsibilities

About the Team

Our team works to build out the development services that enable engineers to deliver high‑quality features and systems to our users. We aim to provide systems enabling software development streamline and productive. The systems we are building include Cloud IDE, Intelligent Unit Test Generation, code and build systems, CI/CD software, microservice management and monitoring.

• Build development infrastructure including Cloud IDE, repository & code management, and CI/CD systems.

• Build advanced intelligent data platforms to help client developers optimize the user experience of our products.

• Build Byte Dance staging environment for Tik Tok, Ads and Shopping to enable internal isolated user and traffic isolation from production, scale distributed applications, tweak technologies such as K8S, RPC, DB, MQ, KAFKA, HDFS, Hive, Yarn, and build a monitor and alert system.

• Research and convert state‑of‑the‑art computer engineering technology into the real product.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in computer science or related technical discipline with 5+ years of industry experience and 3+ years of performance optimization experience.

• Experience working with Android, Java, Objective‑C, Python, or Golang.

• Experience in one or more of the following: private or public cloud, backend architecture, storage systems, databases, CI/CD systems, build infrastructure, and big data.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Full‑stack development experience.

• Experience with technical leadership and dealing with ambiguity.

• Strong strategic thinking and team collaboration skills.

Job Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136,800 – $359,720 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
